Henry McGrane
Henry McGrane was born in June 26 1969.
One of sixteen children who grew up in a remote farmhouse outside Navan Co. Meath, Ireland.
Early in life he displayed an aptitude for drawing and painting and eventually went on to study art at Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design, Dublin.
In 1990 Don Bluth Animation Studios offered him a position as a background artist; here he got to work with such fine artists as Paul Kelly, Carl Jones and Rick Bentham.
In 1995 Henry went to the United States were he was contracted to paint backgrounds on three feature length films for the 20th Century Fox Corporation.
During his stay in Arizona he studied oil painting under the instruction if Joshua Fallik and then later with portrait painter Diane Leonard.
In April 2000 he left the States spending time in Scandinavia en-route to Ireland where he is now pursuing his lifelong dream of earning his living as a full time professional artist.
